Tejari needed an Internet based collaborative application for project management in the building and construction industry. Traditionally, in the region, a project was managed based on extensive use of paper-based planning, follow-up and communication. The core requirement was that of a system that is suited well to the needs of the construction, engineering and IT industries that are looking to decrease lead-time and costs associated with a project. Moreover, the dispersed environment and a user-base consisting of people of various cultures neede the system to be extremely user-friendly.
